Someone on the smith2004-discuss list said he'd like me to post a picture I had taken last year of an MBA Gyrojet 13mm rocket carbine. Here it is. The owner had it on display at a gun show in San Jose, and was kind enough to allow me to have a couple of photos taken.

"warren_et" on the same list calls the projectile a - get ready for this - "Single-Stage-To-Obit rocket".
I just came across the Gyro-jet rifles man this is so cool someone should start making them again with the tech we have not it should have improvements that make it very viable for today...

I have a 12mm "Gyro-Jet" pistol that I received from my father who purchased it new back in the late 60's - early 70's. It is in its original box and I'm VERY interested in finding ammo for it, or find a web site where I might start a search. If anyone can help, I'd GREATLY appreciate it. Feel free to e-mail(lrcracklin@yahoo.com).
Thanks ,Cracklin

Posted by: dr robert ong on June 11, 2006 01:15 AM I have the original style 13MM "Gyrojet" rocket carbine and am thinking of selling it or trying to find rounds for it.
I bought the carbine in the 1960's
The carbine is the Mark 1 sporter Gyrojet 13MM Rocket with the Bushnell 1.3 Phantom Scope as shown in the Shooters Bible 1967 addition.

Review of the Gyrojets and their ammo. Doesn't sound too practical, all told. Neat concept, though.
