I'll be attending all 3 days of the 14-16 May 2004 Foresight Senior Associates Gathering in Palo Alto, California. I very highly recommend this event to anyone interested in molecular nanotechnology. If you're not intimately familiar with nanotechnology, but want to learn, I enthusiastically recommend the 8-hour "Fundamentals of Nanotechnology" tutorial session on Friday: I'll be attending myself to dust off and deepen my own understanding.

Posted by: Patri Friedman on April 27, 2004 09:33 PMHi,
Looking forward to meeting you at the SIG Nanomedicine mtg. Have been a Medical/Managing Editor for 20 yrs and a proponent of nanotech since I read Engines of Creation and met K. Eric at CMU here in Pgh. in 1988 or 89. Originally, I thought of chairing this group myself, along with Rob Freitas, with whom I have been corresponding.
Lots to discuss.
All the best.

Hi Sandi,
You were going to chair the Nanomedicine SIG kickoff? I spoke too soon some days ago then: I volunteered to do that myself, and got snapped up. I think you'd be much better qualified to do that than I. :-)
Looking forward to meeting you.
