I just finished off a loaf of luscious Trader Joe's Reduced Carbohydrate Cinnamon Walnut Bread (along with an equally luscious jar of their Cashew/Macadamia Spread): 6 grams total carbohydrates per slice - a fraction of the normal load - and 8 grams protein per slice!

Posted by: Monica on May 25, 2004 01:16 PMTo put it simply, it is better to eat low calory, nutrition dense foods.
"Carbs" are the opposite of this.
Whether or not you can eat all the fats, so long as none of the carbohydrates, and still lose weight is up to the individual body it seems.

I've never been "fat", but have been persistently annoyed with a small belt of omental fat (around the abdomen) since my teenage years, despite a very active life. It's genetic.
My annoyance has shifted in the last few months: I really do have to break down and buy some new trousers sometime soon, since the waistbands on my existing favorites are now too baggy.
