Exactly why should this embarrass modern leftists? Marx was wrong about many things, and in general was not at all an admirable man. In a world where right wingers show no embarrassment at all at being associated with the words of Pat Robertson or Ann Coulter, both still alive and preaching, I don't see that the climate calls for the left to make any apologies at all for one obscure tract by a long dead thinker associated with a now generally defunct strand of leftist thought.

Marx is talking about REAL Jews, like Paul Wolfowitz (former Trilateral Comission Member, Bush war-monger and now President of the World Bank) and Ben Bernanke (The five chairmen of the board of the federal reserve bank are all Jews)as well as Richard Perle, Henry Kissinger, Josh Bolton, David Frum, Eliot Abrams and all the other Jews that tell George Bush what to do. Marx is not truly refering to the Jews that say that they are Jews because their mother said so, these Jews are merely dupes that attempt to limit free speech in regard to criticising the Jews like Wolfowitz by crying "Anit-Semitism" any time someone exposes what is really going on in the world.

No the "Synagogue of Satan" Jews are the Liberal Jews that don't follow Judaism... you must realize that the Christians are a terrorist group started by Jews who were zealous of the law of the Torah who wanted to take over Rome because Romans were pagan bisexuals. (This was punishable by death according to Jewish Law.) The US is the new Rome and the Christian terrorists and Jews like Wolfowitz are in control... Marx was definitely opposed to the usury laws of the Torah, as this is the basis of capitalism... and one of the reasons that Jews were able to make enough money such that half of US billionaires are Jews.

To construe religious affiliation or indeed ethnicity as anything resembling a person's right or wrong choices is to miss the whole point. It is not about jew christian muslim buddhist, it is about whether you work for love or to destroy life. If these people are bad people, why can't we leave it at that? Why must they be jews instead? To call someone jewish or christian is like calling someone a man or a woman. It just isn't enough of a descriptor. There are many sects and as many ways of interpreting religious ideas as there are people to interpret them. If you disagree with war-mongerers and money-hoarders, then please... but to bring in religion is merely a means to deflect/redirect/sublimate our own lack of security and lack of understanding. ie. it just makes things easier to think about at the expense of HUMAN LIFE and LOVE.
