A few days ago, Monica White pointed me in the direction of the Quent Cordair Fine Art gallery in my own neighborhood. Today, I find out about an exhibition in the neighboorhood of St. James Wood in London (which many years ago was my neighborhood too): Jack Vettriano, at the Portland Gallery. Sounds very interesting indeed... too bad I can't see it in person anytime soon. Of course, some of Vettriano's work seems like the type of thing that the Cordair Gallery might carry someday. Hmm....

I also do hopper, monet, sisley, de lempicka, v.v. gogh, etc. All paintings on canvas and stretchers.Where are you ? Remember the name, I will be the next highly collectable artist. And to Jack Vettriano, I have been to the Portland Gallery to see your latest exhibition in 2006. Believe me when I say you can really paint, you're unfortunatley stuck in a financial dilema from which you cannot escape. You dare not change your "style" as it will be unrecognisable, so why change a winning hand? I personally would love to see you do landscapes, still lifes etc, art for arts sake, not so that it has to be deciphered by so called "critics". Apologies now for reproducing your work, but you are in good company. Just see the list above, and remember, it's the highest form of flattery. If I didn't enjoy it, I wouldn't do it. There will be no "Tracy Emin" coming from my brush!
