Having someone else to blame for the bad things, having someone else to depend on for the things beyond your own reach, having a form of "justice" to believe in, regardless of the power or prestige of the person you think needs to be taken to task, these ideas are addictive drugs to individuals who are not entirely secure in their own minds.
