Sucking the marrow in Beijing

Last night, before leaving Beijing, my friend Serin and I had a late night snack at a small neighborhood shop specializing in kebabs and Hui specialties. It was pretty chilly outside, so we ordered some comfort food, such as this mutton bone soup, with the shafts cracked to expose the marrow, straws provided for convenience:

By Hui cuisine, I assume you meant Muslim user-friendly cuisine.

Meaning no pork products which is extremely unusual for Chinese diets.

So how is the weather in Zhong Guo this time of year?

I told Lissa you'd likely be hooked up with female tour guides within minutes, but no pictures, I see.

The summer palace certainly is a treat.

You're well beyond my meager adventures, since I can honestly say I couldn't eat marrow or scorpions. But then I don't like beer either.

Beijing is a very interesting place, I look forward to the next time I can visit.
